Well, here they are, so get a little adventurous and go take apart one or all of these great Pittsburgh sandwiches.  This epic sandwich adventure will definitely put a punch in your Pittsburgher card.

Steel City Samiches Bar & Grille

Meet the Stuffaluffagus, a giant sandwich made up of over 5-pounds of meat, cheese, fries and coleslaw on an entire loaf of Italian bread. It was recently featured by Casey Webb of Food Network's Man vs. Food.

Fat Heads Saloon
Fat Heads Saloon on the South Side of Pittsburgh is sandwich paradise. Here is a place where the sandwiches are called Headwiches because they are almost the size of your head. There are over 20 Headwiches on the menu along with 15 other sandwiches to choose from. Another bonus about Fatheads Saloon is that it has a huge tap wall full of craft beer to choose from including its own brewed beer. With so many beer choices to compliment your feast, you can't really go wrong.

Check out some of these crazy sandwiches fatheads has to offer:

Southside Slopes
Chargrilled kielbasa topped with sautéed pierogi and onions, American cheese, horseradish sauce. Back in 2004 this beast was Voted #5 Best Sandwich in U.S.A by Maxim.

The Double D
Sausage stuffed banana peppers topped with shaved steak grilled with mushrooms & onions, pepperoni, provolone, Original Sauce and parm cheese.

Wedding Crasher
House-smoked meatloaf glazed in chipotle ketchup, onion crisps, American cheese, pickles and chipotle mayo.

Primanti Brothers
If you are looking for a really crazy sandwich experience, then head to Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh. The sandwich is pretty much royalty in Pittsburgh and to those who first set their eyes on it can't believe what they are seeing. The sandwich is stacked high with meats, eggs and cheeses and topped with slaw cabbage, tomatoes and french fries! History tells us that the sandwich was originally created for overnight truckers that were delivering their goods to Pittsburgh's Strip District. The fast and hearty meal was once wrapped in newspaper as a take away dinner. The Primanti Brothers sandwich has been featured on Bizarre Foods America with Andrew Zimmern and on Man vs. Food with Adam Richman. Can you handle the challenge?
There are four Primanti Brothers locations within Pittsburgh to choose from:
The Original - Strip District
Oakland (Pitt Campus)
South Side
Market Square

Try the Kielbasa and Cheese Primanti Sandwich with a Basket of Smallman Street Fries.

Robert Wholey's & Co. Fish Market
If you are looking for one of the best fish sandwiches in Pittsburgh then you need to visit Wholeys in the Strip District. In Pittsburgh, Wholeys is renowned for fresh fish and for over 100 years the wholesaler has been doing it right. There is always a line for the kitchen at Wholeys and most folks are eye-balling the huge deep fryers where their 1/2 pound batter dipped Icelandic cod sandwiches are cooked. If you are up for an adventure order the Wholey Whaler, which is 1 pound of batter dipped wild caught whiting on a Mancini bun. Wholeys has appeared on Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods America with Andrew Zimmern.

Eat up, Pittsburgh!
